Colum’s day-to-day role as an IFA ensures that we always approach our proposition from the perspective of the IFA and their clients. Supporting Colum in the management team is a professional group of individuals who are all highly successful in their own field and bring many years of experience to this exciting business.

Colum has over 25 years’ experience as an IFA, specialising in advice to High Net Worth private clients. He founded St Peter’s Square Investments Ltd (St. Peter’s) in 1991, which he ran until his business joined with Helm Godfrey Partners Ltd in 2002.
Colum designed and developed the thinking behind Clever Adviser Technology and launched it to his own clients in 2007 and to the wider IFA market in 2009.

Henry gained his Doctorate in Nuclear Engineering and Computing from Manchester University and then worked for 10 years in Finance at the Ford Motor Company. He has held several senior executive positions including Managing Director in a wide range of sectors including Automotive, Engineering, Transport and Manufacturing, working in Britain, France, Germany and the USA. As Chairman of the Board, he is responsible for providing leadership to, and management of, the Board of Directors of the company.

Nicola was a qualified family therapist and counsellor before moving into the Financial Services Sector as a Senior Administrator at Helm Godfrey (Chester). Working closely with Colum Wilde, she supported the development of the Clever process and was appointed Operations Director in 2012 before being appointed Managing Director in 2018.
In her current role she is responsible for the successful delivery of the company’s overall strategy

Heather visits our IFAs, gaining an understanding of how their business works alongside Clever and supporting them in making sure they have the best possible processes in place. Additionally, she informs them of new developments within Clever. She carries out indepth training of how to use the process and how best to present the system to the IFAs’ clients.
Having previously been Office Manager for Helm Godfrey (Chester), Heather has an indepth understanding of the Clever process and how to integrate it into an IFA’s business.
Heather is a key member of the Management Team offering a friendly and focussed support on training, implementation and ongoing expert advice.

Joanne serves as HR Manager at Clever. In this role, she is responsible for talent management, employee relations and training and development. With over 9 years of experience, she is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources.

Patrick has over 18 years’ experience of direct and indirect b2b technology sales and marketing. In the latter 8 years of his career, he has been focused on marketing fintech solutions to financial planners. He has an in-depth understanding of the day-to-day challenges faced by financial planners, from the operational pressures of meeting compliance standards such as RDR and MiFID ii, through to client communication and growing the business.

George joined CleverAdviser straight from University in 2013, graduating with a degree in Business Studies.
George is responsible for the development and performance of our investment strategies and services and now pursuing a PhD in Finance.

Stephen De Rycke
Stephen set up Concerto Support Services Ltd with Kevan Davey in 2004, implementing a leading web-based suite of software for project management and performance improvement. Previous to this, he was a Partner and Lead Designer in APD Associates, designing the software suite which is currently used for the management of asset management and property data in over 40 government authorities across the UK. He also designed and developed a bespoke billing and project cost measurement system across a major UK consultancy which is now used in international pharmaceutical organisations.

Natalie joined Clever after graduating with a first class honours degree in Psychology and Criminology.
After years of assisting the Directors of Clever as Executive Assistant, Natalie adopted the role of Support Coordinator and then moving on to Support Manager. In this role, she ensures the efficient management of client queries and requests and works closely with the development team to deliver functionality updates.

Neil manages the Software Development Team and is responsible for the gathering of all requirements, specification writing and prioritisation of improvements and support requests. He leads all analysis of continual performance improvements to our system. Neil is responsible for leading the development of CleverAdviser software.

Anthony is Head of ESG at Clever. He is also a member of the R&D team, who work to develop and refine our quantitative investment strategies.
Anthony manages buy-side relationships with investee fund groups, provides thought leadership on ESG topics, and is responsible for the evaluation of material ESG factors in investment. He holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC), CFA UK certificate in ESG investing, and Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS). He is a CFA level I candidate.

Garry is responsible for the smooth running and day to day maintenance of all internal computer systems and devices including hardware, software, networks and liaising and research with any service providers. He is consistently investigating opportunities to automate any manual tasks within the office environment. Garry provides key support to the Technical Analysts, using his database analysis, SQL and script writing skills.

Gary started his professional career with Kidsons Impey in 1990 where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant, specialising in personal/corporate taxation and statutory audit work. He went on to become a corporate tax manager for PricewaterhouseCoopers. From there he moved into industry, as a Financial Controller with Kemira GrowHow UK Limited, before becoming the Finance Director of JPCS Limited. Gary is also a director of Business & Tax Solutions Limited.

Caitlin is currently working towards the AAT Accounting level 4 diploma.
Caitlin supports the Finance Director in producing monthly invoices for IFA Partners, ensuring accuracy and integrity are maintained in our internal control systems.
Using our Sage invoicing system, Caitlin enters and checks invoices and prepares them for dispatch.
